I have been eating the chips for as long as I can remember, and it ’ s almost as if the chips have been a great part of my childhood. I can probably think of so many good (and not so good) memories that I associate with each chip brand. I also love all of the different flavors of the chips. In Lays, I like the BBQ chips flavor. In Doritos I absolutely love the spicy sweet chili flavor. On top of all of that, I like that the chip brands come up with such unique flavors and ideas that are out of the box, to keep us consumers on the edge of our seat. Kathryn Stone Ms. Asuncion English 9H Block 2 5 October, 2015 Times of the Year We start with fall. Leaves crumbling from the branches. Orange, red, yellow and brown. Floating in the wind. Kids knocking from door to door. Dressed in costumes, collecting candy. Pumpkins scattered all over the neighborhood. Next we have winter. Snowing falling from the sky. Every snowflake unique. Your fingers so cold, they become numb. Waking up with the surprise of no school. Making snow angels and having snowball fights. The warm embrace of the holidays. Then we have spring. Rain plunging from the sky. Plants popping from the ground. Purple, yellow, pink and green. The Easter Bunny visits the kids’ homes. Kids playing in the puddles of the streets. People dancing in the rain. Finally we have summer. The sun shining. No school. Kids outside, playing all day. Road trips across the country. Planes flying high, making memories for fam...

If you ask anyone how much salt is too much, anyone will tell you that you are getting too much, but no one seems to have the actual numbers. It’s always “cut back!” and “too much is bad for you!” But just what is too much. According to nationalacadamies.org, the government recommended amount of sodium per day, 2,300 mg per day for most people and of 1,500 a day for African Americans, people over 51, and diabetics, leaves people at an increased risk of heart attack, high blood pressure, and heart disease. The very thing said to be caused by sodium. A study published in the journal medicine said that, while having “too much” salt is bad, having too little is worse in regards to odds of a heart attack. Those considered “at risk” for a heart attack, consuming the amount of salt the average American eats (3,400mg), had a 3.1% chance of heart attack. People who ate more (...
