All the Beautiful Seasons

There are four seasons in a year

With many things that are so dear

Like flowers, animals, and Christmas trees

And like spending time with your families



In winter, we sing carols and have snowball fights

We drink hot chocolate and hang up Christmas lights

We also open presents from family and friends

And we always think that the fun in winter never ends



In spring, the warm days have finally come

All the bees and birds like to buzz and hum

The flowers are blooming and the animals are out of hibernation

The students are excited to almost be on vacation



In summer, there is no homework and no school

The children play on beaches and also in the pool

Everyone eats ice cream and has a lot of fun

But, we all are sad when summer is almost done



In autumn, all the leaves are no longer green

They turn red, orange, and yellow and it's almost Halloween

Thanksgiving is next and there is so much to do

From preparing the turkey to making beef stew



There are four seasons in a year

With many things that are so dear

Remember, always before you go to sleep

Think about the memories you have made that you hold and keep

The House

Masan Brown   Ms. Asuncion   English 9H, Block 3   1 October 2015   The House   The box, the door, it  begged me to enter.    What lies beyond the door is my bad past,   I open the door, see and remember .   Waking in slow, I feel like an outcast.   The stairs I sat on,  waiting  for presents,   The kitchen where holiday meals were made.   I'm frozen thinking about those events ,   Thi s is where it happened, I wish I stayed.   I was scared seeing my house would hurt me,   This is where my family had fell apart.    Standing where my mom was finally free ;   As I'm in this house I feel my heartbeat.    Seeing this house is  impossibly hard,   The last thing I ever see is the yard!

Kids knocking from door to door. Dressed in costumes, collecting candy. Pumpkins scattered all over the neighborhood. Next we have winter. Snowing falling from the sky. Every snowflake unique. Your fingers so cold, they become numb. Waking up with the surprise of no school. Making snow angels and having snowball fights. The warm embrace of the holidays. Then we have spring.
