All Summer in a Day Epilogue
Darkness. That is all that Margot can see. She can not make sense of anything that is happening. All she knows is that her so called classmates locked her up in a closet. Margot was used to bullying, but she did not expect them to do this on the very day that the sun would finally show.
            “Oh the sun, Margot thought.
Usually the thoughts of the sun would warm Margots heart and mind. Today was a different day though, a day where she could only see darkness and feel coldn. Margot wasnt  about to give up yet. There was still a little spark in her that told her to keep fighting and try for what she wants. She lazily moved her hand against the door knob and twisted, but much to her dismay it did not open. Next with all her might, Margot threw her body against the door. She banged herself against the barrier between her and her hope and desire. At that point Margot started giving up for real. She curled up into a little ball and started balling her eyes out, as if water falls were flowing from her eyes. The big yellow ball of heat would only show up in seven whole years, and who knows how Margot would take it?
Frustrated, angry, upset, crushed, Margot pulled at her hair, tugging at its roots. A thin piece of metal fell on the ground with a tingling sound. Desperately, Margot fumbled to get a grasp on what had hit the floor. It was a bobby pin! She hurriedly put it in the door knob to unlock the door from the inside, anticipating the click of the knob that would signal the doors opening. A little while later, there was a click and Margot could not have been any happier.
Then she realized something. What if the sun had gone away? Margot thought. Hurriedly, dashing out of the closet, she ran straight to the door that would lead her to the big bright sun. Instead of seeing a burning ball of gas, all she saw were clouds. She saw all the children staring at the clouds above that were beginning to gather, and everyone knew what that meant.
Let down, Margot went back to the closet and locked herself back up. After all she had done and been through, she would only think it would get better, but indeed it did not. She heard footsteps approaching her and she knew that they were coming aback to unlock her, to taunt her about their amazing experience of which she had been robbed. As she felt their presence get closer, she felt a flare of anger through her flood of negative emotions.
How dare they do this, she thought to herself, they have no right to.
Margot was pulled out of her thoughts when the big wooden door slowly began to creak open. She knew that everyone was anticipating what her reaction would be. Vengeful, Margot slowly got up and started walking out.
With a determined look in her eyes, Margot marched out of the closet, eyes flaring with nothing but anger evident in them. Not trusting herself in what she would do next, Margot went straight home. She knew she wanted to get revenge on her classmates that had locked her up, but she did not know how. She formulated different thoughts in her head. After nearly one hour of thinking, she went to her parents and began putting her plan into action.
“Hey honey, I heard what happened at school today, her mom said.
“Yeah, sighed Margot. That was really all she could say about that.
“About what happened, she proclaimed, I have made a decision to move back to earth
Her parents just merely stared at her. A thick blanket of silence covered the room. Everything after that was a blur to Margot. Her parents got into a fight with her about reasons why they couldnt move back because there were so many things involved. When Margot heard enough, she disappointedly ran as fast as lightning and locked herself in her room. After hearing what had happened at school, Margot thought that her parents would understand her urgency to go back, but not even anything close to that happened.
Many days passed and Margot still did not come out of her room. Her parents begged and pleaded for her to come out, but no matter how hard they tried she did not budge. Her parents knew that Margot could not go on like this and that this is not healthy for her. After discussing and contemplating for hours on what had to be done, they finally made a decision. They quickly went to Margots room and prayed that it would be open. Luckily for them, the door was unlocked. They carried Margot to a transport vehicle and drove to the space station. Margots parents were pretty important on the planet Venus, because they were major scientists on Venus. They called a friend that works at the space station and they set up and appointment to go to earth. After filling out a heap of paperwork, packing, and finalizing everything, they were ready. Margots parents, along with her in tow, boarded the rocket.

While all this was happening, Margot was still in a deep slumber. Margot dreamed of a huge gold coin and a warm glow that appeared in the sky and spreads warmth through her body. She dreamed of being on earth and living a normal life with kids that dont ostracize her. Soon she would realize that her dreams would turn into a reality.
