Dear
Mr. Robert A. Iger,
I
recently visited Disney World. While my family and I were staying there we used
the MagicBands as our room keys, park tickets, FastPasses, and meal plan. They
were very useful because everything was
contained on one band that you can never loose. It is easy to keep track of
because it is on our wrist. I also have some suggestions for the bands and I
think that this concept could also work when applied to a school.
The
bands made much of the vacation simple by condensing room keys, park tickets,
FastPasses and even money for meals and snacks into one place. It is also
amazing because you can save the pictures that are taken on rollercosters onto
the bands. This new system makes everything simple and efficient so that all of
your time can be spent having fun.
I
think that it would be nice if, much like the meal plan where you get a certain
amount of snacks a day which are identified by a certain symbol, each family
could get a certain number of small gifts in their trip. These gifts could also
be identified by a special symbol and could be small pieces of merchandise from
any of the gift shops in Disney World.
On
our trip, the FastPasses were set up so that in a specific time frame each
member of my family would get a FastPass to a certain ride. Instead, give the
family as a whole all of the FastPasses, so that if one person did not like
rollercosters then they could sit out and someone would get to go on the ride
twice. This could be used instead of the current system where if someone wishes
to not go on a ride their FastPass will then be wasted.
I
also think that the MagicBands could be used in schools. If students scanned
their bands before entering class it would eliminate teachers having to take
attendance. This would aloe for more teaching time. Students could save their
lunch money onto the bands and could even check out library books using them. If
the bands were able to connect to the internet, than the students could save
projects and other homework assignments onto their bands to be used instead of
flash drives. Students could even log onto school computers by scanning their
bands. The use of Magic Bands in schools could be a form of free advertising.
Overall,
I think that the Magic Bands are a wonderful idea. There are so many things
that they can be used for and everything is so much simpler when they are used.
Sincerely,
Gabrielle
